
The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency – Apex-Brasil – and Mawsonia, publisher of Global Corporate Venturing, announce their strategic partnership to develop corporate venture capital in Brasil. Our objective is to give access to the Brazilian investment and entrepreneurial ecosystem for global and local corporate venturing units willing to approach and operate in the country.

The first day, October 19th, is reserved for international guests only and consist of an introduction to the local entrepreneurial ecosystem. From October 20th to 21st, the local VC, entrepreneurial and innovation community will join the conference to network, discuss key topics, share experiences and do business – scroll down to check the agenda.

Start-Up Brasil, a National Startup Acceleration Program, is an initiative of the Brazilian Federal Government, created by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, managed by Softex and in partnership with accelerators, to support new technology-based companies: startups. The selected startups receive government grants up to R$ 200K, plus financial investments and access to services such as infrastructure, mentoring and training by an accredited accelerator in exchange for an equity percent. Currently, Start-Up Brasil portfolio supports 183 startups from Brazil and 13 different countries.Â
